As senior managing director of development for Rose Associates, Inc., James L. Hedden sources development and acquisition opportunities and provides financial analysis and investment viability.
Mr. Hedden's team is responsible for project analysis and determining the feasibility of new business opportunities. Throughout the development process, Mr. Hedden coordinates development budgets, designs capital structures and solicits debt financing for new developments and capital improvement projects. He interfaces with lenders, partners and outside equity investors, managing the overall development process to ensure that Rose Developments are successful for the company and its clients and partners.
Prior to joining Rose Associates, Mr. Hedden was NYC Regional Executive for Bank of America's Commercial Real Estate Banking Group. He was responsible for delivering a full range of financial services designed to meet the needs of Bank of America's commercial real estate clients, focusing primarily on NYC's major developers of residential and commercial properties.
Mr. Hedden has more than 20 years in various positions in the real estate industry throughout the Northeast. He served as senior vice president at Fleet Bank in charge of commercial real estate lending, managing offices in New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington DC. Prior to his tenure at Fleet, Hedden was vice president and team leader in the real estate group for Chase Manhattan Bank.
Mr. Hedden is an officer of The Real Estate Board of New York and sits on the board of the Housing Partnership Development Corporation. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, ICSC and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. Mr. Hedden earned a bachelor's of science degree in Business Administration from Ramapo College and has completed advanced studies in real estate at New York University. He is also a registered securities agent.
