Job Title Lease Administrator

Position Description:

This position will support the LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) team by providing administrative support such as filing, sending out letters to tenants, coordinating appointments, completing required paperwork, and other administrative duties as required. 

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assist in monthly mail outs for tenants to submit their financials and household income sources.
  • Send out third party verifications before tenants come in for appointments.
  • Assist the LIHTC compliance administrator and associate arrange appointments for tenants to come into the office to review all adult household income sources.  Income determination is made in accordance with Low Income Housing Tax Credit regulations.
  • Data entry of information in Yardi Classic software to generate tenant income certification form.
  • Maintain and update the third party verification files.
  • Complete regular filing duties to ensure all files are active, current and ready for audits.  
  • Review leases renewals to ensure all information is correct regarding apartment size, maximum rent, and utility allowance.
  • Enter all necessary data for low income tenants for new buildings.
  • Administer apartment inspections performed by others.
  • Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed and when requested.
  • Assist in filing, purging and archiving files.
  • Assist the LIHTC Associate in mail outs in purging the waitlist.
  • Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed and when requested.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Associates degree in business, finance, math, or equivalent experience in residential property management.
  • 1-2 years of experience; preferably in a financial or real estate capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Experience with LIHTC and Rent Stabilization a plus.
