70 Pine's Tower Collection Now Leasing

Apartments on Floors 32 to 54 Offer Panoramic Harbor, River & City Views

Rose Associates announced that leasing has begun for apartments in the Tower Collection of 70 Pine. Comprised of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments on floors 32 through 54, the Tower Collection is the second of three releases at 70 Pine. Leasing of the property’s City Collection (floors 7 to 31) began earlier this year and roughly 60% of those floors are fully rented.

The release of 70 Pine’s Tower Collection means renters can now take full advantage of the skyscraper’s expansive views, which stretch across both the Hudson and East rivers, south to the harbor and all the way north to Westchester County. With just seven apartments on each floor, the Tower Collection offers renters a rare level of tranquility in the heart of Lower Manhattan.

“We’re pleased to introduce our Tower Collection, and we anticipate that renters will embrace the views and privacy offered by these floors,” said Adam R. Rose, Co-President of Rose Associates. “70 Pine has truly come to life, with residents already occupying the bulk of our City Collection apartments. With Black Fox coffee and La Palestra also operating, we are realizing the vision we long had for this special Art Deco property.”

Along with development partner DTH Capital, Rose has overseen a three-year renovation of the 66-story 70 Pine (www.70pine.com). The property is comprised of more than 600 rental apartments in studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations. 70 Pine tapers as it rises, which was a design requirement when the skyscraper was constructed. This results in numerous floors having wraparound terraces, and more than 150 apartments at 70 Pine feature private outdoor space.

Along with a limited number of apartments on each floor, 70 Pine’s Tower Collection offers apartments with 9 ½-foot ceilings, hardwood floors throughout, and stainless steel Jenn Air and Blomberg appliances. Each home also features a washer and dryer. 70 Pine’s leasing agents are currently showing three beautiful model apartments located on the 36th floor.

70 Pine has long been one of the city’s most celebrated skyscrapers. It originally acted as the headquarters of Cities Services, which sold the building to American International Group (AIG) in 1976. After AIG vacated the property, a new vision for the building began to take shape. Rose Associates joined forces with DTH Capital to lead a team of architects, designers and landmark specialists. The extensive and thoughtful renovation has transformed 70 Pine into a residential and retail stand out. Upon completion, the building’s Art Deco lobby, a New York City landmark, was opened to the public for the first time in decades.
Along with private residences, 70 Pine includes a 132-key residential hotel called Q&A. Operated by Furnished Quarters, the hotel offers fully furnished apartments available for bookings of 30 or fewer days. La Palestra, an operator of upscale fitness and wellness centers, is creating its latest facility in 23,000 square feet of space, which offers state-of-the-art aerobic and strength training equipment with additional amenities including dedicated Pilates and Yoga studio, private massage and treatment rooms, game and screening rooms, bowling alley and golf simulators. Originally from Australia, Black Fox Coffee has opened its flagship shop in the lobby and serves an array of fresh brewed coffees and bakery items.

La Palestra, which also has facilities at The Plaza and Hotel Des Artistes, offers 70 Pine residents a full array of personal and sports-specific training along with nutrition sessions, sports psychology and behavioral counseling, lectures and seminars, massage therapy, and daily classes.

Rose Associates is the exclusive leasing and managing agent for 70 Pine. The building is now leasing its City and Tower Collections. Rents range from the $3,400 for a studio in the City Collection to more than $8,000 for a two-bedroom in the Tower Collection.  The leasing office is open from 10 AM to 6 PM Monday – Friday and 11 AM – 5 PM Saturday and Sunday.  Leasing agents can be reached at 212-785-7070 and information can be found at www.70Pine.com.
