Rose Associates, the New York-based full-service real estate firm, announced today that it has hired Michele Bengelsdorf as a director within the company’s asset management division. Bengelsdorf joins Rose from Deutsche Bank’s RREEF where she was vice president of asset management.
“Michele is an expert asset manager with a strong knowledge of real estate operations in New York City,” said John Gacinski, chief financial officer of Rose Associates. “At Rose she will manage a portfolio of rental properties, street-level retail space and a collection of parking garages.”
Bengelsdorf, 43, has nearly two decades of experience working in real estate, and she’s spent more than 10 years focused on asset management. At RREEF she was responsible for overseeing operations of residential properties that comprised 2,000 units of housing. These assets were located throughout New York City, the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic. Earlier in her career, Bengelsdorf worked in Jones Lang LaSalle’s New York office where she was a vice president of strategic advisory and valuation services.
Bengelsdorf earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Boston University.
