Rose Associates Leases 17,000 S.F. at Chelsea Landmark to Spirit Halloween

Posted On October 17, 2012

Rose Associates recently leased 17,000 square feet of retail space at Chelsea Landmark to Spirit Halloween. This is the second year that the costume and accessories retailer has operated out of the street-level retail at Chelsea Landmark, a luxury rental property located on Sixth Avenue between 25th and 26th Streets in Manhattan.

Bruce Spiegel, senior managing director of commercial leasing for Rose Associates, represented the property owner in the transaction. The lease term is two months and it began on September 30, 2012.

“We’ve been fortunate to sustain short-term leasing activity at this location over the past year,” said Spiegel. “As we wait to identify the proper permanent tenant, I’m pleased that companies such as Knoll, Spirit Halloween and American Apparel have been able to position themselves in a neighborhood comprised of a strong residential and office population.”

Rose is currently seeking a long-term retail tenant for Chelsea Landmark, which offers 17,000 square feet of street-level space and roughly 7,300 square feet of lower-level space. The entire 23,000 square feet offers possible divisions as well as venting for restaurant use.

Added Spiegel: “This space has remarkable exposure along Sixth Avenue in Chelsea.”
