Rose Associates to Remain Leasing and Managing Agent at Chrystie Place
Posted On October 7, 2014
Rose Associates, the New York-based full-service real estate firm, will remain the exclusive leasing and managing agent at Chrystie Place on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Ashkenazy Acquisitions recently acquired the building at 229 Chrystie Street from Avalon Bay Communities and has elected to keep Rose at the property. In 2005, Rose launched the building for Avalon Bay and has leased and managed the 361-unit rental ever since.
“We are pleased that the new owners of Chrystie Place have chosen to retain Rose as the property’s leasing and managing agent,” said Carol Jones, portfolio director for Rose Associates. “In 2005, Chrystie Place set the tone for what was then a pioneering neighborhood. The building remains a standout, as many exciting projects continue to make this one of Manhattan’s most sought after residential areas.”
Opened as Avalon Chrystie Place, the property is comprised of 14 stories and home to a 72,300-square-foot Whole Foods. Amenities include a roof deck, a billiards lounge and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Rose is currently leasing studio-, one- and two-bedroom units at Chrystie Place, with rents beginning at $2,925 per month. Located at the corner of Bowery and East Houston Street, Chrystie Place is a short walk from New York’s B, D, F and M subway trains. Additional information is available at www.rentrose.com.
