Rose Associates, the New York-based full service real estate firm, has announced that it recently signed a ten-year lease with Teavana for approximately 2,300-square-feet in Randall House at 771 Broadway.
Teavana, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Starbucks Corporation, has more than 300 locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Part tea bar and part tea emporium, Teavana sells prepared teas, loose-leaf teas and tea accessories.
Bruce Spiegel, senior managing director for Rose, represented the property owner in the transaction. David Firestein of The Shopping Center Group represented Teavana.
“This is a fantastic, street-level space that sees consistent foot traffic from NYU, East Village residents and professionals in the nearby office buildings,” said Bruce Spiegel of Rose. “Facebook has recently moved to a 100,000-square-foot space that is directly across the street from Randall House, and IBM is opening offices at nearby 51 Astor.”
Rose is currently marketing a 750-square-foot space at Randall House’s 779 Broadway. Teavana’s space at Randall House is situated between a Chase Bank and soon-to-be redesigned Radio Shack. Randall House is also located near the Rose-leased University Walk, an Eighth Street retail and dining destination that’s comprised of 29 stores.
