Rose Associates, the exclusive leasing agent for The Shops at Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town, announced that it has recently leased a 1,909-square-foot space to Petland. The space, located at 332 First Avenue in Manhattan, was once home to a Peter Cooper Village leasing office.
Bruce Spiegel, senior managing director for Rose, and William Bergman, commercial leasing manager for Rose, represented Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town in the transaction.
Petland, a national chain of pet supply stores, signed a 15-year lease, and was represented by Mark Leber of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.
“This location is highly visible from the street, and Petland will enjoy the steady foot traffic along this eastern portion of First Avenue near 18th Street,” said Bruce Spiegel, senior managing director at Rose.
Spiegel and Bergman also recently leased a neighboring 1,213-square-foot space to Second Time Around at 334 First Avenue. Second Time Around, an upscale consignment shop with locations around Manhattan and in 12 states, signed a 10-year lease for 334 First Avenue, and was represented by Scott Galin and Darell Handler of Handler Real Estate.
