Inventive Model Apartment Designs at Brooklyn's Oro Condominium Highlight the Distinctive, Dramatic Architecture of the Residences

Posted On May 24, 2011

One of the most important considerations when purchasing an apartment is whether you can see yourself living there and calling it home. And the design of the model apartment often plays a major role in helping potential buyers determine if a home is the right fit.
At Oro, a dramatic new 40-story condominium residence at 306 Gold Street in downtown Brooklyn, the new model apartment – designed by BoConcepts, a local furniture retailer specializing in pieces designed for urban spaces – highlights the apartments’ curved layouts and reflects the character of the condominium, making it easy for buyers to imagine it as a choice place to live.
“Inspired by the curved glass and brick façade of Oro, we selected pieces that accentuate the curved floor plan and heighten the bright and airy feel of the space,” says Hong Yee Leong, interior designer at BoConcepts. “We achieved this by using a white leather Milos sofa and Zarra dining chairs. We tempered the white leather with the walnut dining table and storage unit to give the space an ‘it’s good to be home’ feeling.”
“The more architecturally interesting the floor plan, the more challenging it is to imagine how the space will be furnished and completed,” says Robert A. Scaglion, senior managing director at Rose Associates, the exclusive marketing and sales agent. “BoConcepts’ modern furniture designs complement the modern, curved layouts of Oro’s apartments, and help buyers create the image of their own home.”
Oro residents are invited to receive a $500 discount on purchases of over $5,000 at BoConcepts’ showroom in nearby Dumbo.
BoConcept is the brand name of Denmark's most global retail furniture chain, with more than 340 sales units in over 50 countries around the world.
Oro’s sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additional information can be obtained by calling 718-254-8805 or by visiting
