Managing Director, Development

Christopher Gibaldi is Managing Director, of Development. In recent years he has been responsible for the management of multiple high-rise multi-family/mixed-use developments of 4.7M sf (3,275 units) with a total development cost of over $2B. Chris has a unique combination of hands-on management and analytical expertise allowing him to successfully execute every phase of the development process from conception, acquisition and design through construction and lease-up. 

Christopher has over 20 years of professional experience developing multifamily residential and mixed use projects. He oversees Rose’s pre-development work analyzing financial models, negotiating joint ventures, and securing financing as well as zoning analysis, architectural design and permitting. Chris also directs all facets of development, managing teams, budgets, and financial reporting, while also overseeing construction and coordinating with contractors.

Since joining Rose Associates in 2011, Christopher has completed notable projects including the transformation of 70 Pine St. into a 777-unit mixed-use space totaling; 1M sqft., and the development of Larstrand (181 units, 225K sqft) and Maximilian (188 units, 175K sqft. Currently, Chris leads Rose's major development projects including the ground-up development of a 16 acre site in Port Chester, NY which will be comprised of 1,095 units, 1,100 parking spaces and total 1.5M sqft; as well as Hamilton Crossing, in White Plains a combination conversion and new build totaling 468 units and 735K sqft; Alexander Crossing in Yonkers, a ground-up development of 440 units totaling 555K sqft; and 8 Court Square in

LIC, a 157 unit ground-up development of a mixed use building totaling 150K sqft.

Prior to joining Rose Associates, Christopher was a director of acquisitions and development and led capital raising efforts for a boutique real estate investment firm in the New York area
